Terms of service

Last updated October 2, 2026

These terms set out how you may use Signaic and what you can expect from us, in plain language.

These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Signaic, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Signaic", "we"), for the use of signaic.com, the Signaic platform, The Orbital Brief, SIG/NAIC AI and the Signaic application programming interface (API) and connections (together, "the service"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use Signaic for an organization, you accept them for that organization and confirm you may do so.

A separate written agreement signed by both parties, such as an Enterprise or data license agreement, takes precedence over these terms where the two differ.

Your account

  • Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current.
  • Keep your password and any personal access tokens to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Two-step sign-in is available, and we recommend it.
  • Each seat is for one named person. Add people to your workspace as members rather than sharing a sign-in.
  • Tell us at ryan@signaic.com straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

Plans, billing and renewals

The plans, their prices and what each includes are on the pricing page. The Orbital Brief is free. Signaic Watch and Signaic Terminal are paid subscriptions, billed in advance monthly or annually through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that apply.

  • A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it.
  • You can cancel or change plans in Settings under Plan. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • When you upgrade, the difference for the rest of the current period is charged straight away and the new price applies from the next period.
  • If a payment fails, we and Stripe will retry it. If it still fails, the workspace returns to The Orbital Brief.
  • Payments are not refundable except where the law requires. If you think you were charged in error, write to ryan@signaic.com and we will look into it.
  • We may change prices. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and the change takes effect at your next renewal after that.

Free trials

  • A trial started from the pricing page lasts 14 days and needs no card. When it ends, the workspace returns to The Orbital Brief unless you subscribe. One trial per plan per workspace.
  • A subscription started through checkout may begin with a trial of the same length. The payment method you give at checkout is charged when that trial ends unless you cancel before then.

Using the record

Signaic compiles its record from public primary sources and links each record to the source it came from. The underlying documents belong to their publishers; the way Signaic collects, links, structures and presents them is ours.

While your subscription is active, you and the people in your workspace may:

  • use the service and its content for your own internal business purposes;
  • quote, chart or excerpt reasonable portions in your own work, reports and presentations, with Signaic named as the source;
  • export and share reports as your plan allows, including through shared report links.

Unless we agree in writing, you may not:

  • resell, sublicense or redistribute the content, or publish it in bulk;
  • use the content to build or improve a competing product or dataset;
  • copy the content by scraping, crawling or other automated means outside the API and connections we provide;
  • get around plan limits, rate limits, seat counts or access controls.

Use of the data or the API beyond what your plan includes needs a separate written agreement. Write to ryan@signaic.com.

SIG/NAIC AI

SIG/NAIC AI answers questions and builds reports from the Signaic record using artificial intelligence (AI) models, and its answers cite the records they draw on. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Check the cited source before you rely on an answer, and use your own judgment.

Each plan includes the AI research shown on the pricing page. A monthly allowance resets each calendar month (Coordinated Universal Time). On Signaic Terminal, AI research is unlimited: past 30 actions per seat per day, a request waits a few seconds before it runs, and it is never refused. On Enterprise the daily threshold is set with your team.

Your content

What you put into Signaic, such as watchlists, notes, report settings and questions, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, as the privacy policy describes.

A shared report link lets anyone who has it view that report without signing in. You can revoke a link at any time, and a link stops working when it expires.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass, defraud or harm anyone.
  • Do not probe, test or break the security of the service, or try to reach data that is not yours.
  • Do not send malicious code or load the service in a way that disrupts it for others.
  • Do not reverse engineer the service except where the law allows it despite this term.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Signaic available and publish its live status at signaic.betteruptime.com (opens in a new tab). We do not promise uninterrupted service unless a signed agreement says so. Public sources change and sometimes go offline, so coverage can change. We improve the service over time and may change or remove features; if a change removes something material from a paid plan, we will tell you first.

No advice, and disclaimers

Signaic provides information, not legal, regulatory, investment or financial advice. Decisions you make with it are yours.

The service and its content are provided as they are and as available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and Signaic's total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Signaic at any time, cancel your subscription in Settings and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other customers at risk; where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as the limits on liability, survive the end of the agreement.

Changes to these terms, and the law that applies

When we change these terms we update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect; using the service after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and disputes belong in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
